"Housing First" by Marc Munan

The artwork used in the logo/graphic is based on a painting entitled "Housing First," inspired by Marc's former homes in Columbia and Greenbelt, Maryland. Edmonton-based Marc Munan likes mixing apartments and townhouses. "Housing First" offers a sense of community with substance while remaining pleasing to the eye, says Marc.

About the Artist

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Marc moved to Canada in 1967. He lives in an Inner City Housing Society residence, which provides affordable housing to low-income and homeless Edmontonians. Marc has been interested in architecture and city planning since he was young. His recent accomplishments include an exhibition with his father at Studio 321, located on downtown Edmonton's Rice Howard Way. Marc's art has been shown at Strathcona Seniors, Milner Library, Walterdale Theatre and other local venues. Upcoming displays include the Atelier Renoir Art Gallery, opening in February 2008.
